After two decades building and collecting Sci-Fi props we accumulated a large number of pieces, mostly costumes, that needed to be displayed. We never really got satisfied with what was available on the market. The commercial mannequin can only do so much, the helmet displays from cheap to more expensive either lack the flair or the quality we wanted.
We felt that our collection needed to have a museum quality to its display. We wanted something that kept he focus on the costume, rather “invisible”. We also needed a way to contextualize some of the pieces without needing a full costume display.
Xibit is the display system we dreamed and designed for our very own use, as avid fan and serious collector. We are now making it available to likeminded collectors who want to go the extra miles to display their pieces.
